I have been quite busy with essays and studying, but not too busy to stop me finding time to paint my nails, even if they are relatively plain in comparison.
This post will have a picture of my nails from each week that I was away instead of a different post for each one.
I went for some simple stamping using a stamping plate from myonlineshop.storenvy.com I bought it because it has Harry Potter AND Doctor Who images! How could I not?
It's a bit hard to see, but the stamped pattern is made up of the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter. It would probably have been easier to capture if I had used a lighter base colour.
Colours Used:
Base - A-England: Beauty Never Fails
Bronze - Kleancolour: Coffee Addict
Here is my recreation of the quatrefoil pattern. I first saw it done by Christabellnails on Instagram and thought it looked awesome. Then I saw a few of her videos on how to do it, so I decided to try it. I have to say I really liked it. It is a bit time consuming to do all 10 nails like this, but I did enjoy it :)
Colours Used:
Black - A-England: Camelot
Purple - A-England: Sleeping Palace
This is the nail art I wore to my cousin's wedding. I didn't want it to be a wedding design with white french tips or lace, I do like the idea, but I wasn't the one getting married. So I went for something delicate, but still colourful. I used a Bundle Monster plate BM 314. The swirl design is one of my favourites.
Colours Used:
Blue - A-England: Galahad
Silver - A-England: Fonteyn
I haven't done water marbling in a while and I wasn't that inspired, so I did this. I don't really like it that much. I expected the silver holo to be more pronounced when I put 2 drops in a row. I used 3 blues, one of them was not sheer, just less opaque than I thought it would be even with 2 drops in a row, so it ended up looking pretty much the same as my lightest colour. Never mind, water marbling is always fun anyway :)
Colours Used:
Dark Blue - China Glaze: First Mate
Medium Blue - China Glaze: Electric Beat
Light Blue - Essie: Borrowed and Blue
Silver Holo - Color Club: Harp On It
This is the design I have this week and I love it!
I did something similar to this on my mum's nails a while back when she had glue-ons and I wanted to do it on my nails. It's ivy leaves and little yellow ivy flowers. We have lots of ivy growing at home and its so magical looking. The flowers on real ivy have longer petals like a daisy, but I still like these. The more I look at them, the more magical they look...
Colours Used:
Purple - A-England: Lady of the Lake
Light Brown - OPI: Woodenshoe Like to Know?
Dark Brown - Revlon: Espresso
Greens - China Glaze: Gaga for Green and Starboard
Yellow - China Glaze: Lemon Fizz
Gold - Orly: Luxe
